About Benjamin Tolman

James and I founded our firm, Torres & Tolman, because of our shared desire to serve our clients more intimately and on our own terms. At Torres & Tolman, you have my word that we will not only represent your interests zealously and as true fiduciaries, but we will strive to make your interaction with the law one in which you feel heard and respected. Before founding the firm, I learned how to practice law as an attorney at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati in Palo Alto, where I represented public companies and their officers and directors in complex multi-forum securities class actions, derivative actions, deal litigation, as well as internal, governmental, and regulatory investigations. I also represented private companies in high-stakes commercial litigation as well as defendants in federal criminal litigation. During law school, I was a semi-finalist in Harvard’s Ames Moot Court competition and a teaching fellow at Harvard University where I taught a course on the presidency.
